Technology centre celebrates opening

– 65 years of innovation "Made in Germany"

With the inauguration of its new technology centre, PREBENA is sending a strong signal about Germany as a business location.

State-of-the-art technology, German engineering and a clear commitment to the location: in conjunction with its 65th anniversary, PREBENA celebrated the opening of its new technology centre – a milestone for regional industry.

High-tech production

The new technology centre focuses on the development and manufacture of innovative (battery-powered) pneumatic nailers, automation and robotics for industry, and in-house mechanical engineering. The production lines are equipped with modern CNC machines. Thanks to modern manufacturing technology and specially trained skilled workers, even complex components can be produced flexibly in small to medium series.

"With the new centre, we are not only creating additional capacity, but also laying the foundation for even closer integration of development and production," explains Managing Director Werner Rücklinger. "This shortens our innovation cycles and strengthens our competitiveness in the international market."

Relocation from Asia – a strategic move

The decision to relocate production from Asian countries back to Germany was not an easy one – but it was strategically consistent. Reasons for this included supply chain risks, quality requirements and the increasing demand for flexible, customer-specific manufacturing.

"Proximity to our main location and to our customers in Europe was a decisive factor," says Managing Director Gabriela Bornemann. "We want to take control, quality and speed into our own hands – and have invested in Germany to achieve this."

Innovation hub for the region

With the new building, PREBENA is also sending a strong signal for the region as an industrial location. In addition to modern workplaces for skilled workers in production, assembly and engineering, the technology centre offers space for research, training and cooperation with universities and partner companies. There are also plans for a visitor centre where customers and interested parties can gain an insight into the processes of modern German manufacturing.

A celebration of tradition and the future

The inauguration ceremony combined the company's 65-year success story with the dawn of a new technological era. Guests from 17 nations as well as representatives from business, politics and education were on site to see the new centre for themselves – and to celebrate the anniversary together with the employees.

With its new technology centre, PREBENA impressively demonstrates how German industry remains fit for the future through innovation, quality and strategic vision. "Made in Germany" is not just an advertising slogan here, but a reality that is lived out every day.
